Bunny Hop is a personal task planner. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used and stored, when third parties are involved, how long data is kept, and how to contact us. It covers the Bunny Hop web app, the Chrome extension, and the Bunny Hop Todos Claude Desktop extension.
Depending on which features you use, Bunny Hop may process:
We do not require an account to use the core app. We do not sell your personal data.
By default, your tasks, notes, and settings are stored in your browser’s local storage on your device. That data stays on your device unless you enable optional features that send it elsewhere (Device Sync, AI, or extension AI capture).
If you enable Device Sync, Bunny Hop uploads a snapshot of selected planner data (including tasks and settings) to Supabase so your devices can stay in sync. Access is controlled by your sync key — treat it like a password. Anyone with the key can read and update that synced data. Synced data is stored in our Supabase project until you clear it or we remove inactive sync rooms as part of normal operations.
The optional Claude Desktop extension runs locally on your computer. When you configure it with your Device Sync key, it reads and updates the same Supabase sync snapshots so Claude can list, add, complete, update, and delete tasks. Task content processed by the extension is sent to Supabase for sync; Claude itself may also see that content in your chat according to Anthropic’s own policies. The extension does not send your data to Bunny Hop servers beyond that Device Sync path.
If you enable AI features, typed commands and (when using voice) recorded speech are sent to OpenAI using your own OpenAI API key. Speech is transcribed with OpenAI’s Whisper API; the text and current task context are then sent to OpenAI for planning and execution. We do not receive or store your OpenAI API key on our servers.
Our Chrome extension uses limited permissions to open Bunny Hop in new tabs and capture text you explicitly select on a page into a Bunny Hop task. Selected text and the current page URL are stored locally in the extension until delivered to the Bunny Hop app. If you enable AI capture in the extension options, your selected text is sent to OpenAI using your own API key to format a task. We do not collect or transmit your browsing history.
We use LiteAnalytics (anonymous usage analytics) to understand how the app is used and improve it. This data does not include your task contents or other personal planner data.
We share data with third parties only as needed to provide optional features you turn on:
Hosting providers (for example Netlify) may process standard web server logs when you visit bunnyhop-tasks.com.
You can use Bunny Hop without Device Sync, AI, the Chrome extension, or the Claude Desktop extension. Disable or disconnect those features anytime in Settings (or by uninstalling extensions).

If we change this privacy policy, we will update this page. Please review it periodically for the latest information.
